biosAnnie Berman, Producer/DirectorRecipient of the Lisa Robin Hurwitz Memorial Film Award in 1999, Annie is an active participant in the Boston film community, showing her own films, teaching, and working on local film and radio productions. Annie serves on the board of directors of Women in Film & Video New England. Annie is currently producing the independent feature documentary "The Faithful" exploring the phenomenons of Elvis Presley, Pope John Paul II, and Princess Diana. Annie began her career as an intern for WGBH's Culture Shocks series. Past work has included the documentary You Can't Evict the Spirit, funded by a grant from the Brandeis Undergraduate Research Program, two short animations, screened at the WIFV/NE's Short and Edgy Festival at the Harvard Film Archive. Berman graduated from Brandeis University, Phi Beta Kappa, with concentrations in Psychology, Film Studies, and Women's Studies. Sara Theriault, Co-ProducerA lifelong Elvis fan with over three years of documentary television production experience, Sara has worked for Tera Media and Pinball Productions. Among her credits are numerous programs for The History Channel and Discovery Channel including: 95 Worlds and Counting, Rum Running, Moon shining, and Bootlegging, The Big Dig, Killer Submarine, History of the Internet, and Videogames: Behind the Fun. She served as Supervising Producer to the four hour History Channel program Hooked: Illegal Drugs and How They Got That Way and Coordinating Producer for the one hour episode The Boston Strangler. Her experience in documentary television production has taught her how to work within tight budget and time restrictions, think on her toes, secure music and picture rights, secure locations, direct talent, and never accept no for an answer. |
